FactWatch is thrilled to organize a hands-on training program titled “Fact-Checking Basics: A Beginner’s Workshop to Combating Misinformation” which is designed to provide a basic understanding of the pattern of misinformation and fact-checking in the digital cyberspace, for students and journalists. In this day-long training session, the participants will directly learn from highly experienced academics and fact-checkers.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understanding of Fact-Checking, Misinformation, and Disinformation

• Usage of Tools for Verification and Fact-Checking

• Image and Video Check

• Searching, Monitoring, and Analyzing Social Media Platforms

• Digital Security and Website Management

As we have limited seats, the participants will be selected on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is no sign-up or admission fee. Lunch and snacks will be provided. The participants will receive certificates upon completing the training.
