ULAB Achieves New Milestone in Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has achieved a significant milestone in international higher education assessment by securing notable positions in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026.

In this year’s rankings, ULAB secured the 8th position among private universities in Bangladesh and the 12th position among all public and private universities in the country. The university was also placed within the 801–1000 global ranking band, reflecting its growing reputation and commitment to sustainability-driven education, research, and community engagement. The rankings, released on 24 June 2026, evaluated 1,646 universities from 116 countries and territories worldwide, measuring institutions’ contributions toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

ULAB demonstrated strong performance across several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026. The university ranked 2nd among private universities in Bangladesh in SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), achieving a global ranking of 401–600. ULAB also secured 7th position in SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) and 8th position in SDG 4 (Quality Education), both with global rankings of 401–600. Furthermore, the university ranked 9th in SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), placing 601–800 globally, 10th in SDG 5 (Gender Equality), with a global ranking of 801–1000, and 12th in SDG 1 (No Poverty), ranking 601–800 globally.

The achievement reflects ULAB’s strong commitment to sustainability, which is embedded across its academic programs, research, campus operations, and community engagement initiatives. Through green campus practices, sustainability-focused education, and socially relevant research, ULAB continues to promote environmental responsibility and social impact.
