Fire and Evacuation Drill Notice - Spring 2026
In support of the ULAB Fire Safety Plan, we will be conducting a semi-announced Fire and Evacuation Drill for all ULABians:
- WHEN: Any day between 19 April and 23 April, between 10:00 am and 05:00 pm.
- WHERE: Buildings A, B, C & D at the ULAB Permanent Campus.
- WHY: As a residential community of 5000+ people, we must:
o Identify fire risks from wooden frame structures, forested surroundings, and electrical short circuits.
o Recognize that the nearest Fire Station (Mohammadpur) is approximately 3 km away, with a minimum 20-minute response time.
o Ensure fire and emergency preparedness as a fundamental component of our Safety Plan.
o Prioritize personal safety and security.
Please participate in the drill-it will prepare you for an actual fire and may even save your life.
Note: Fire alarm will ring for approximately 3 minutes during the drill.
General Guidelines
