Dear ULABians,

In view of the prevailing situation in the Gulf region and its potential impact on Bangladesh, all students, faculty, and administrative staff of ULAB are requested to be mindful of electricity, water, and fuel consumption in their daily activities. As such, you are requested to observe the following:

·  During the daytime, if sufficient natural light is available, the use of electric lighting should be avoided. Windows, doors, or blinds should be kept open to utilize natural light.

·  Only half of the existing electric lights should be used. Unnecessary or excessive use of lights must be avoided.

·  During office hours, all unnecessary lights, fans, air conditioners, and other electrical equipment should be switched off.

·  Air conditioners, if needed to be used,  should be operated at a temperature setting of 25°C or above.

·  Before leaving any office room, all electrical equipment, including lights, fans, and air conditioners, must be switched off.

·  Unnecessary lighting in corridors, staircases, washrooms, and similar areas must be avoided.

·  All decorative lighting should be strictly avoided.

·  Use of vehicles will be minimized.

·  Use water only as much as needed in washrooms, cafeterias, and other facilities.

Every small action counts. By working together, we can contribute to a more sustainable campus.
