DW Akademie (Germany) representative, Dr. Nele Lenze visited the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) on Thursday, October 13, 2022. During her visit Dr. Lenze spoke to the students in a forum titled “Advice For Beginning Media Researchers.” She told the young research students that there are many ways of doing a research, but one must always keep the ethical aspects of research in mind. She also advised the students to have self-reflexive approach while choosing the topic for their research projects. Dr Sarkar Barbaq Quarmal, Assisstant Professor and Coordinator of the Graduate Program, Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ), and Md. Aminul Islam, Senior Lecturer, MSJ were the other speakers in the forum.
Dr. Nele Lenze had a meeting with ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman, Head of MSJ department Professor Jude Genilo and Director of ULAB’s International Affairs Jennifer Hossain to discuss bilateral collaborations between DW Akademie and ULAB. She also had a meeting with the MSJ faculty members and visited some of the media projects done by MSJ students. She was amazed to see the creativity and depth of critical thinking of the students.
Later, Dr Lenze visited the outdoor spaces of ULAB permanent Campus and praised the greenery, and complemented it as a pleasant environment for learning.
