Our air-conditioned library has a rapidly expanding collection with computerized catalog access, a seminar room and a language lab. Most Bangla and English newspapers are available, along with many important national and international journals and magazines.

Library Resources and Regulations:

a) Pigeonhole: Students/users have to deposit their bags, personal files, books and other belongings to the pigeonhole before entering into library. They must not keep any valuable items like cash, mobile phones, wallet, and ornaments inside the bag deposited at the pigeonhole. Collect a token from the on-duty staff against your deposit; return the token when taking back your belongings from the pigeonhole. If the token is lost, the library authority should be informed immediately. A fine of Tk. 100 will be imposed for issuing a duplicate token.

b) Photocopy: Photocopy services are available at the Pigeonhole section. Students will have to fill up a Photocopy Requisition Slip which is available at the Circulation Desk. The photocopying charge of Tk. 1 per page is payable in advance.

DDC is a general knowledge organization tool and is the most widely used classification system in the world. Shelf Lists, posted on every shelf, contain the Author, Title, Subject and Call Number to help users locate books.

b) Computerized Catalogue: Users can browse / search for materials on computer databases by:

4) General Advice:
Leave library materials (textbooks, reference books, reports, journals and other document) on the table after study. Please do not put it on the shelf yourself as the library personnel are there to put it on the right place.
