Shams Bin Quader completed his MA in Cultural and Creative Industries from Kings College London in 2007 and prior to that did his BSc in Media and Communication from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in 2005. He joined IUB in 2005, and has been worked there till 2011, first as Junior Lecturer and then as Lecturer, in the Media and Communication Department. Then he joined the Media Studies and Journalism Department of the University of Liberal Arts, Bangladesh (ULAB) in 2011.
He is also the vocalist / guitarist of the rock band “Bohemian”. Shams is a regular contributor to the local English daily newspapers named The Daily Star and The Daily Sun. Shams’s research interests include: Popular Music, Popular Culture, Cultral Studies, Cultural Identity, Diaspora, Migration, Globalization, Reality Television, Television, New Media and Online SNS.
