Clubs and Student Life @ ULAB

A University is not only a place of learning, it is also a place of enjoyment. One of the main tenets of a Liberal Arts education is that students should learn from their co-curricular and club activities. These activities can help nurture students' latent talents, develop their leadership qualities, and gather the practical experiences which they cannot get from courses.

To give extra emphasis to these activities, it has been made mandatory for all students to become a member of at least one club per one year. Each student must then take membership in another club in the next year to expand their areas of interest and gather different experience.

Field Trips
At ULAB, education is not confined in the classroom. The first batch students were taken on fieldtrips to Mohastangarh, Kantajir Mandir and Paharpur Buddhist Monastery as part of their Bangladesh Studies course. They also went to Panchagarh to see the first organic tea garden and largest herbal garden in the country.

Clubs

Other than the study tour and field trips, students can take part in different cultural activities on campus. They can play cricket on a fully modern cricket pitch, or table tennis at the large students' activities area. They can also take part in debate, singing, stand-up comedy, or design a fashion show.
