An industrial visit has been successfully accomplished by University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). A team of 16 members from ULAB participated in the event. ULAB is grateful to “Bangladesh Bank (BB)” authority as they gave the opportunity to make such helpful industrial visit.

The program started at 2.30 PM on 12th July.  At first, members of ULAB were made familiar with the history of BB and with many IT projects undertaken by BB. Some notable automation projects are: CBPS, Banker’s recruitment, e-Tendering system, Sanchaya Patra System. One ongoing key project is “National Payment Switch (NPS)”, which will enable ecommerce in Bangladesh and new dimension of payment system will be introduced. ULAB members also visited the data center and they were guided by Systems Analyst, Md. Rahat Uddin. After this program, participants were amazed at the expertise of BB’s officials and also at the level of sophistication of the undertaken projects. It can be noted that BB have one of the largest IT infrastructure in Bangladesh.

BB’s Systems Manager Kazi Nasir Ahmed, senior systems analyst Mohammed Ishaque Mia, systems analyst Md. Rahat Uddin and systems analyst Mosiuzzaman Khan were present at the program.

A senior CSE student named Abdul Hamid expressed his thinking after the program and he said “This kind of events are very helpful for students and thanks to BB, we have seen many things which we have only read in Books”.
