Dr. Rathana peou van den Heuvel joins as Deputy Director, Institute for Sustainable Development (ISD)  -

The ULAB authorities are pleased to announce the joining of Dr. Rathana peou van den Heauvel as the Deputy Director for the Institute for Sustainable Development and an Associate Professor of the university. Dr. peou van den Heuvel will be responsible for activating the ISD research agenda and developing ISD-related curriculum.

Dr. peou van den Heuvel has a PhD in Political Philosophy from Marne la Vallée University, Paris, France. She also has an MSc in Political Science and Philosophy, Nanterre University, Paris, France; and a BAs in Philosophy and Political Science from Summer University sources in Europe, North Africa and in North America.

Dr. peou van den Heuvel brings to ULAB a wealth of experience related to the development sector of Bangladesh. She has been teaching "Introduction to Political Thought" as a General Education course in ULAB for the last two terms. As a culmination to this coursem she is currently organizing an exhibition on Garments Women Workers called "The Threaded Resort," which will feature the research findings and photographs prepared by her ULAB course students. The exhibition will be jointly hosted by the Spanish Embassy and ULAB.
