Edith Cowan Lecturers Conduct Digital Photography Workshop

Edith Cowan University (ECU) Lecturers Conduct Digital Photography Workshop -

Lecturers Norman Leslie and Duncan Barnes from Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Australia conducted a Digital Photography Workshop on January 16, 2010 among 13 students of the Media Studies and Journalism Department, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB).

The two lecturers discussed various aspects of digital photography – digital bits, digital capturing and digital manipulation – and the debates relating to analogue versus digital technologies.  They illustrated how photo manipulation was undertaken before and after the invention of digital technology.  They likewise asked students to take their own photos and manipulate these digitally – whether through color, contrast, background, photo merging and image correction.

Norman Leslie is a Senior Lecturer and Coordinator of the ECU Photomedia Department while Duncan Barnes is a Lecturer at the same department.  ECU is located in Perth, Australia.  The photography workshop was coordinated by ULAB Lecturers Razibul Hossain and Juditha Ohlmacher.
