ULAB MSJ Discusses the Future of Public Relations PDF Print E-mail

ULAB MSJ will hold a round-table discussion on “The Future on Public Relations in Bangladesh” November 24, 2:00 to 4:00 pm, at the ULAB Seminar, Campus B.

The discussion aims to clear the air about this field of communication, particularly about the outlook of PR professionals working in a country that is expected to grow six percent annually (given a business as usual scenario) for the next 20 years.  It raises the questions:  What is needed to professionalize PR practice in the country?  How do we enable quality PR?  How do we ensure ethics in PR?  Whether we like it or not, PR is going to grow in the country.  It depends on us regarding what standard would be targeted or achieved.

The resource speakers are as follows:  Nazim Farhan Choudhury (Adcomm), M. Rizwan Sharif (Northbrook PR), Khawaza Main Uddin (Daily Sun) and Abdur Razzak (Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research).  ULAB Lecturer Imtiaz Chowdhury will facilitate the discussion.
