| A forum on photography titled Contemporary Photography with Jean-Philippe PERNOT was held by the Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) on March 23, 2013 With the photography forum, there was a photo critiquing session that started on 1pm and continued till 3pm where Jean-Philippe critiqued photographs of the Photography Apprentices. About Jean-Philippe: Since 2000, Jean-Philippe has dedicated himself to creation. He has shown mostly in France, Spain, in the USA and recently in Bangladesh. He is involved in constant research on the infringement of creation process and representation of reality. Currently, he is working on the series of the Cinegraphies that are exhibited at the Bengal Gallery of Fine Art. |

March 20, 2013: Day 3, ULAB Fair Play Cup:
State University of Bangladesh beat ULAB by 4 Wickets. Winning the toss, State University of Bangladesh decided to field first. ULAB scored 134 runs by 7 wickets in 20 overs. In reply State University of Bangladesh played till the last ball and scored 139 runs by 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Jibon from State University of Bangladesh was adjudged Smartex Man of the Match for making 44 runs in 31 balls and for his 3 wickets.
In the second match of the day East West University beat Northern University of Bangladesh by 14 runs. Batting first, East West University Scored 169 runs for 7 wickets. In reply Northern University of Bangladesh made 155 runs by losing 7 wickets in 20 over. Shafayet of East West University was Smartex Man of the Match for his excellent 56 runs in just 23 balls.

March 19, 2013: Day 2, ULAB Fair Play Cup:
In the first match of the day, North South University beat BRAC University of Bangladesh by 64 runs. Winning the toss, North South University scored 181 runs by 8 wickets in 20 overs. In reply BRAC University could score 117 runs by 8 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Anan was adjudged Smartex Man of the Match for making 54 runs in 40 balls and in fielding he had 2 catches. In the second match of the day Manarat International University beat United International University by 73 runs. Batting first, Manarat International University Scored 172 runs for 8 wickets. In reply United International University made 99 runs by losing all wickets in 18.1 over. Shamim of Manarat International University was Smartex Man of the Match for his excellent wicket keeping on 3 stumping and 1 catch

The 6th ULAB Fair Play Cup Inter Private University Cricket Tournament organized By University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has started on March 18, 2013 at ULAB Play Ground at Ramchandrapur, Mohammadpur. Former captain of Bangladesh National Cricket and Match Referee Mr. A.S.M. Roquibul Hassan inaugurated the tournament. ULAB Board of trustees, ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman, Faculty and Admin were present there.
ULAB hosts the tournament every year to promote sportsmanship and friendly competition among the private universities. This year total 8 teams are participating in the tournament. The teams are: North South University, BRAC University, East West University, Northern University of Bangladesh, United International University, State University of Bangladesh, Manarat International University, and ULAB. All the matches are being played in T20 format. In the inaugural match ULAB beat Northern University of Bangladesh by 82 runs. Winning the toss, ULAB scored 200 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Anjum Ahmed of ULAB made a brilliant knock of 81 runs of only 49 balls. In reply northern University of Bangladesh could score 118 runs for all wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Morsalin of ULAB bagged 3 wickets. Anjum Ahmed was adjudged Smartex Man of the Match.
In the other match of the day State University of Bangladesh beat East West University by 6 wickets. Batting first, East West University Scored 156 runs for 5 wickets. In reply State University of Bangladesh made 157 runs by losing 4 wickets. Mehedi of State University of Bangladesh was Smartex Man of the Match for his batting of 35 runs of 21 balls and making 2 wickets.

ULAB Observes Birth Celebration of Father of the Nation & National Children's Day |

 University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a discussion session to celebrate the 93rd Birth Celebration of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day on its campus on March 17, 2013. In the discussion, ULAB Professor Emeritus Rafiqul Islam and Professsor Abdul Mannan were the key speakers. ULAB Registrar Lt Col Md. Foyzul Islam (Ret) conducted the discussion.
In his speech ULAB Professor Emeritus Rafiqul Islam observed how Sheikh Mujibur Rahman led the country in our liberation war, and outlined his contribution to the nation. Professsor Abdul Mannan remarked on the Liberation War generation and their contribution to history. Professor Mannan shared his experience of visiting Tungipara (the birthplace of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman). Professor Salimullah Khan, Professor Sazzad Hossain, Professor Rezaul Karim Mazumder, and Dr. H.M Jahirul Haque raised few questions and participated in the discussion. ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman gave the vote of thanks.
