ULAB Highlights Bangladesh’s Rich Film Heritage.
The Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) Department of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (www.ulab.edu.bd) will highlight Bangladesh’s rich film heritage on April 12, 2011 in a forum entitled “Preserving Bangladeshi Cinema.” The programme will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the ULAB Auditorium on Campus A (House-56, Road-4/A, Satmosjid Road, Dhanmondi, Dhaka-1209).
Mr. Sarwar Alam, Project Director of the Bangladesh Film Archive, will be the main speaker while ULAB Pro Vice Chancellor Imran Rahman will be the introductory speaker. The forum will describe the important role played by the Bangladesh Film Archive in preserving and promoting the culture of cinema and in creating a healthy film movement in the country. After the discussion, there will be a film screening of Across the Fringe by Alamgir Kabir.
