The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh is pleased to announce its First Convocation.

 

 

 

His Excellency Md. Zillur Rahman, the Hon'able President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and Chancellor of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, has kindly consented to preside over the Convocation Ceremony and confer the degrees.

The Special Guest of the Convocation is Professor Nazrul Islam, Chairman of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh.

We are honored to announce that the Convocation Speaker will be Ms. Ameerah Haq, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Timor-Leste and Head of UNMIT. Ms. Haq is the highest-ranking Bangladeshi in the United Nations service.

Convocation Rehearsal: Monday, July 19, 2010
    * Attendance is MANDATORY
    * Snacks will be provided for students and faculty - with coupon.
    * You may bring cameras
    * You do not need to wear your gown

8:30 am    Students arrive
12:15 pm  Refreshments/Break
1:00 pm    Second Session begins
3:00 pm    Rehearsal ends


Convocation Morning: Tuesday, July 20, 2010
    * No cars allowed on BICC premises - all cars on DITF grounds
    * NO CAMERAS, MOBILE PHONES, OR BAGS ALLOWED
    * Snacks will be provided - with coupon.
    * Dress is business dress/shalwar kameez. No jeans or sandals.

8:30 am    Students and guests arrive
10:00 am   Program Begins (Hall of Fame)
12:15 pm   Conclusion of the First Session
                Refreshments/Break
1:00 pm    Second Session begins (presentation of degree certificates to the graduates)
3:00 pm    Convocation Morning Program ends
