The Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) [formerly the Institute for Sustainable Development (ISD)] is a research center motivated by social responsibilities, moral concerns, socio-environmental challenges to provide present and future generations with relevant knowledge and expertise for a better citizenship both in Bangladesh and the global world.
 
The CSD also aims to execute interdisciplinary research in diverse areas that cover socio-environmental issues including: integrated resource management, renewable energy, natural hazards, climate change  adaptation, green business, gender equity, and good governance and policy.
